Critiquing Photography

I believe that this photo is my most sucessful one, as it is the most visually appealing of all the photos I took. The bright pink of the flower contrasts with the dark green of the leaves, and the symmetry of the unique shape of the petals makes the image interesting to look at.
The most challenging aspect of this project was finding photos that fit each category, without slipping into other categories too much. I know that some overlap will always happen but I struggled to find photos online that fit what I was looking for.
In future assignments I will be more open to finding different locations to take pictures in. Taking pictures in my house is convinient but there are so many locations around me that I could use instead.
I left a comment on this blog: https://angelw86.wixsite.com/capture-photography/copy-of-dozen-photo-challenge
"Your theoretical photo is beautiful, it really does make the viewer think about what the picture represents while being incredibly visually appealing. The bright orange of the fire contrasts with the black and white of the sheet music, which contrasts with the duller background."

Hi Olivia! I was drawn to this image because of the vibrancy of the flower as well as the clear definition of the photo. I agree the symmetry of the flower is also very visually appealing. I like how the flower stands out from the leaves due to the focus as well. I think adding a touch of soft light or enhancing the contrast just a bit could make the flower stand out even more.
